Sponsor: Medical Marijuana Bill dead for session
ATLANTA - It looks like the Medical Marijuana Bill is dead for this session, but its sponsor said he will keep fighting for it.
Representative Allen Peake, of Macon, said the chairwoman of the Health and Human Services Committee refuses to schedule a hearing on the legislation. FOX 5 News reached out to Senator Renee Unterman for comment about the issue, but has not yet responded to the inquiry.
The bill would have added more conditions that qualify for Georgia's Medical Cannabis Registry including autism and posttraumatic stress disorder
