Spalding County deputies investigate possible abduction attempt

SPALDING COUNTY, Ga. - Spalding County deputies are investigating a possible attempted abduction of a teen.

Josiah Catlin said he was walking home along Amberwood Lane Tuesday night when a woman got out of a parked van and attacked him from behind.

Before he escaped, Catlin said he saw a second person getting out of the van.

Detectives are investigating, but don't believe the woman who attacked Catlin is the same one wanted in a string of abduction attempts in recent weeks.

Officers said they are now canvassing the area, as well as looking to see if there is surveillance video of the incident.
