South Carolina shooting leaves at least 10 injured, police say

A shooting in a South Carolina beach town resulted in the injuries of 10 people Sunday, local police said.

The Associated Press reported that video from the scene showed dozens of police cars and ambulances rushing in and out of the area.

What we know:

The shooting happened around a boat dock near the Intracoastal Waterway at 9:30 p.m. Sunday in Little River, South Carolina, which is 20 miles northeast of Myrtle Beach, authorities told the Associated Press.

Ten people were shot, and at least one person was taken to the hospital who was not hurt by gunfire, police said. 

The shooting happened around a dock where a private charter boat leaves for cruises. A flyer online advertised a party Sunday night with a DJ on a three-hour cruise ending at 9 p.m.

What we don't know:

Horry County Police did not provide information on the conditions of anyone hurt or share details of how they may have been injured in the shooting. 

Police also did not release details on possible suspects or say why the shooting happened.
