Smyrna scooter ban vote postponed

SMYRNA, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Smyrna's city council postponed a vote to ban electric scooters Monday evening.

Council members voted Monday night to table the issue until June 17.

The council says the scooters are a safety issue -- citing the recent death of a man in Atlanta.

If approved, the ban would be effective immediately.
