Showers and patchy dense fog will continue through the evening and overnight into Monday morning.
The Fox 5 Storm Team is tracking moisture lifting from the Gulf of Mexico that will bring additional rain during the evening hours. While all of north Georgia can expect rounds of showers that will bring at best up to a half inch. Patchy dense fog could reduce visibilities to a quarter mile or less in spots especially to the northeast of metro Atlanta.
On a positive note, the weekend's rain has produced one of the lower pollen counts of the last week, 1323.
By early Monday morning only a few light showers will remain on the backside of this system. Monday brings sunshine and breezy conditions. Northwest winds will gust to 20 mph.
The next forecasted rain arrives on Thursday.
