Sheriff: Eight arrested in apartment complex drug bust

Police have arrested eight people for drug-related charges in a sweep of an apartment complex in Bartow County.

The Bartow-Cartersville Drug Task Force, the Cartersville Police Department, and the Bartow County Sheriff's Office conducted the sweep on Friday, July 27 at the Mountain Chase Apartment Complex on North Tennessee Street.

Police say that they noticed that there had been an increase in service calls at the location over the last few months, so they initiated the sweep.

During the sweep, they discovered multiple suspects in two apartments.

In one apartment, police arrested Cedric Jett Sr., Cedric Jett Jr.. Tyjuan Jett, Ronna Jett, Fantasia Jett, and Markiesha Perdue. They are all charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

At the other apartment, officers arrested Tina Knox Satterfield and Nathan Woods. They have both been charged with possession of meth and possession of less than 1 oz. of marijuana.

The investigation is ongoing.
