Severe storm potential in North Georgia this afternoon

GEORGIA - Portions of North Georgia are under a marginal risk, level 1, for severe storms Saturday afternoon and evening.
The storms will approach our area from Tennessee and quickly race to the south and east throughout the later part of our Saturday. The models have been fairly consistent with the storms arriving at the Tennessee and Georgia state line around 3 p.m. and reaching the I-20 corridor by 8 p.m.
This line of storms will be capable of producing damaging winds, small hail and isolated flooding. We can’t rule out an isolated brief tornado, but that is HIGHLY unlikely.
Keep in mind, this is NOT an all-day event , so this only applies to your late afternoon/evening plans as far as having an impact on your day.
