Several metro agencies hold 'active shooter' training

CONYERS, Ga. - Preparing for a crisis, and preventing the worst possible scenario was the focus of several law enforcement agencies in Conyers Monday

The city hosted an active shooter training for the county's residents.

The training took place this morning at Springfield Baptist Church on Iris Drive.

Conyers police, Covington police, Newton County deputies, and DeKalb SWAT teams all participated.

Another part of this training according to event organizers was for the different law enforcement agencies to practice working together in a crisis.
