Services for Atlanta City Councilman Ivory Young
ATLANTA - Services were announced Tuesday for Atlanta Councilman Ivory Young who passed away late last week at the age of 56.
The Atlanta District 3 City Councilmember will be remembered during a memorial wake and Alpha Phi Alpha Omega service 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30 at Greater Springfield Baptist Church located at 721 Jones Avenue NW.

The following day at 11 a.m., a Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Martin Luther King, Jr. International Chapel on Morehouse College campus located at 830 Westview Drive SW. Pastor Tracy B. Wheeler, Sr. will eulogize the late councilmember
Young had served on the Atlanta City Council since 2002 and helped to shepherd re-development efforts on the Westside and the construction of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
