Security guard charged for shooting man stealing from liquor store

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A security guard is facing charges for shooting a man caught stealing from a liquor store Wednesday night. 

It happened at the Tower package store on Piedmont Road. 

Atlanta Police said when the man tried to run away, the guard chased after him and fired shots. The suspect was later found at a theater on Cheshire Bridge Road. 

The man was hit in the arm but is expected to recover. 

No one else was hurt, according to police.
