Secret Service says 'suspicious package' is safe; street closures have been lifted
WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - The Secret Service says a suspicious package found near the White House has been deemed safe.
Authorities said the suspicious package was reported along Pennsylvania Avenue.
Pennsylvania Avenue was closed from 15th Street, NW to 17th Street, NW. Lafayette Park was also closed.
The streets have since re-opened.
