ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - On Wednesday, Atlanta Police arrested two of three suspects they say targeted five homes in Buckhead and stole multiple vehicles.
“They're going inside these garages looking for cars that have keys inside,” said Atlanta Police Major Barry Shaw. “Of the homes they went into, they were able to steal four vehicles.”
The thefts happened in the early morning hours.
At one house, investigators say one of the suspects hit a family's garage with the stolen vehicle, then kept going.
Officers tracked one two of the suspects to East Point. APD, East Point Police, and state police arrested a Jaquantay Campbell, 26, and a 17-year-old male.
“One of these suspects had a stolen handgun on him,” says Shaw. “So, investigators are tying these suspects back to at least eight different home burglaries this morning.”
Investigators are still searching for the third person involved. Anyone with information should contact Atlanta Police.
