Search for Repeat Burglars Hitting Carrollton Rec Center

CARROLLTON, Ga. - Police are searching for five young men behind multiple break-ins at the same rec center in Carrollton.

Investigators said knew their crime was being recorded. They even pointed at one of the cameras inside the Lakeshore Pool and Park Center.

They targeted the rec center twice in less than a week’s time, according to Carrollton Police.

Investigators said the men weren’t wearing any type of disguise.

The thieves first broke into the pool area and tried to set things on fire. Then, they stepped up their game from vandalism to burglary on Sunday by busting into the building and searching for anything valuable. Officers found some of the property taken from the building outside.

Police believe the five men, some juveniles and some adults, are behind the two break ins.
