Ross Harris trial: Oct. 28

BRUNSWICK, Ga. - The prosecution rested in the Ross Harris murder trial. Harris, 35, is a Cobb County man charged with murder in the June 2014 death of his 22-month-old son, Cooper, who was found dead in the back seat of Harris' hot SUV. Prosecutors believe he intentionally left his son to die at a time when Harris was unhappy in his marriage and looking for relationships with other women. Defense attorneys said the death was a tragic accident. In April, the trial was moved from Cobb County to Glynn County.

Here are of the key developments which happened during the day:

2:31 p.m. - The officer checked the Harris house to see if they really needed light bulbs.

2:07 p.m. - Cobb County police officer brought onto the stand. He is the second Detective on the case.

1:41 p.m. - Defense calls their first witness, Roger Webb, to the stand. He was Harris' real estate agent. He says the most import thing to the family was that there was a good school in the area.

1:32 p.m. - State and defense argued over bringing up Detective Murphy to the stand.

1:11 p.m. - Defense asks for directive verdict, claiming state did not prove its case.

11:32 a.m. - State rest their case.

11:07 a.m. - Defense says that the scan does not demonstrate the human level of eyesight and what people can see.

10:58 a.m. - The top of Cooper's head and the bottom of his legs are visible in the 3D scan.

10:34 a.m. - Witness confirms that he is not providing an opinion of what Ross Harris saw, just presenting a 3D scan.

10:31 a.m. - 3D scan can turn 360 degrees, unlike the human head.

9:54 a.m. - Jury is excused so the Defense can review the evidence without them.

9:46 a.m. - The 3D scan is detailed enough that it shows the seams in the car seat.

9:42 a.m. - State shows 3D image of Cooper in the backseat of the SUV. Harris looks uncomfortable.

9:20 a.m. - Show parking lot scan from the scene of Cooper's death.

9:09 a.m. - Bring out scan of courtroom to show how the different vanish points work.

8:59 a.m. - State brings scanned disk hard drive into evidence. They will show a 3D scan of the court room to explain how the scanning works. “These are all 3D position points. They are positioned in proximity to each other.”

8:56 a.m. - Harris trial resumes for the day.
