Rockdale authorities halt search for robbery suspects

ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. - Deputies in Rockdale County said they are no longer searching for two robbery suspects accused of following a mother and her child into their home, robbing the woman and then trying to sexually assault her. 

The mother told investigators the ordeal happened on the morning of February 23 in the Stoney Brook subdivision, as the she was carrying her child into the home through the garage.

Deputies said the mother claimed she begged for the robbers not to harm her or her daughter. They said she offered the robbers cash, but as she went to retrieve the money, one of the robbers tried to pull off her clothes.

The woman said in the report that the other robber yelled for his accomplice, and the two fled with $800 in cash from the home.

Authorities said they are no longer searching for the suspects.
