Robbers followed man home, beat him

MORROW, Ga. - Morrow Police have released three sketches of men they said are behind a home invasion, in which the victim was followed home, held at gunpoint, and beaten.

Police said the ordeal happened Sept. 21 around 4:30 p.m. off John Robert Drive in Morrow. Police said the men targeted the victim as he left work, and wanted to obtain cash from his employment; however, the victim had already deposited a large sum of cash at the bank before he returned home.

Police said the robbers demanded cash from the victim, and still beat him anyway when he could not provide them with what they wanted.

The victim was taken to the hospital, and is now recovering, police said.

"Until now I thought [the neighborhood] was pretty safe," said one concerned neighbor.

Anyone with information on the identity of the individuals should call Crime Stoppers. Individuals can remain anonymous and receive a reward up to $2,000.
