Road collapses in Cherokee County

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. - A road collapse Tuesday morning has been affecting traffic in Cherokee County. 

Deputies said a section of Highway 108 (Fincher Road) westbound sunk and collapsed just before Knox Bridge Highway. 

 

 

Authorities had to shut down one lane as crews worked to repair the part of the road that caved in. 

Investigators said this is the second time this has happened.
