Reward for Carroll County inmate who escaped during work detail

CARROLL COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A $1,000 reward is being offered for tips which lead to the capture of an inmate who escaped from a work detail in Carroll County this week.

Multiple agencies from all levels of law enforcement are searching for Tommy Shane Morton. Carroll County deputies said Morton managed to escape Monday during a work detail near East Ranchette Road at Taylors Gin Road.

Morton is described as 5-foot-10 and about 150 pounds.

Anyone who sees Morton is asked to call 911 immediately.
