Remembering fallen firefighters in Atlanta

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - It was a day of remembrance in Atlanta.

City leaders joined first responders to honor the lives and sacrifice of Atlanta's fallen firefighters.

The ceremony was held this morning at Atlanta Public Safety Headquarters on Peachtree Street.

Atlanta's fire chief spoke to FOX 5 News about some of the event's traditions which include recognizing each fallen firefighter.

This is an annual event now in its 73rd year.
