Rebuild Webuild campaign launches in Atlanta

ATLANTA - Revitalize, re-invigorate, and re-develop is the goal of the Rebuild Webuild campaign.

The group A Thousand Black Men and Women Incorporated launched that campaign Thursday with their focus on the Sweet Auburn Historic District in Atlanta.

They said they chose the Auburn Avenue area because of its rich history and cultural significance.

Organizers said their first step in the revitalization of the area is to buy property there.

They said they're currently in negotiations for this first step.
