Read Across America held Friday

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Some Atlanta area kids spent Friday morning getting excited about reading during the annual Read Across America event.

Kids were treated to some special stories from Dr. Seuss since Read Across America Day is always held close to the author's birthday on March 2.

Participants in Friday's event say they were excited to share work from an author they loved when they were kids with the next generation.
