Publix Makes $1.5 Million Donation to Food Banks

ATLANTA - Publix made a huge donation Monday to the Atlanta Community Food Bank. A refrigerated truck with about $125,000 worth of food will go to help those in need across Metro-Atlanta.

The purchase of a new truck will provide 2 more million meals to the community each year. It's all part of a $1.5 million dollar effort to help Feeding America and 12 food banks.

The food will be distributed to food pantries, food kitchens and group homes.
