A woman, seen posing for racy photos used in an online escort ad, have now prompted an internal investigation by the city of Atlanta over the use of a fire station as a backdrop.

The racy photos were taken at Atlanta Fire Station Number 2 on Jonesboro Road.

The unidentified blond posted the revealing pictures on the classified advertising website Backpage.com. What alarmed top brass, the backdrop is clearly inside the southeast Atlanta Fire Station with the woman proudly donning the firefighters’ protective gear.

Even though there's no evidence firefighters took the pictures, a fire department spokesman confirms Jathan Dortch and Anthony Witchowsky have been suspended for ten days without pay and demoted from Provisional Lieutenant back down to firefighters.

Atlanta Firefighter Union President Dick Bennett said the penalty is too harsh and confirms an appeal is already under way.

Bennett told FOX 5 News one woman struck up a conversation with a firefighter so that the photos could be taken. The union president said once the firefighters realized what was going on they shut down the shoot and told the women to leave. But the fire department spokesman said the suspension was deemed necessary based on the firefighters’ actions.
