More than a thousand homeless people living in Atlanta enjoy a Pre-Thanksgiving BBQ dinner.

Fox Bros., Jim-N-Nicks Bar-Be-Que, and Alair Homes Decatur teamed up, to bring a barbeque feast to The Gateway Center on Pryor Street Wednesday afternoon.

Organizers invited homeless men, women, and children to grab a plate.

Anthony Hamilton of Alair Homes Decatur said this tradition started back in 2014 when he set out to start a family tradition of giving back.

The gateway center provides housing, jobs, and medical and mental health care for more than 10,000 homeless people every year.
