Polk County high school placed on lockdown after threat

POLK COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Tense moments at a Polk County high school after administrators said they received a threatening phone call.

This happened at Rockmart High School on Cartersville Highway Wednesday.

Officials locked all the doors to the building and didn't let anyone in or out after they said a threat was called into the school.

Investigators from several agencies determined the threat was from out of state.

The lockdown was lifted just after 3 p.m.
