Police: Woman dies after hit and run

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - DeKalb County police are searching for a driver following a deadly hit and run early Monday morning. 

Police said the hit and run happened around 2:15 a.m. on Candler Road near Interstate 20.

Police told FOX 5 a mother and daughter were arguing on the side of the road. The 39-year-old woman then walked away, stepping into the road.

Police said the mother was struck by a white Dodge pickup truck. She was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital, where she later died.
