Police: Thieves carjack woman after crash in Buckhead

ATLANTA - A woman is recovering after suffering injuries in a crash and carjacking in Buckhead.

Now Atlanta Police are searching for the brazen thieves.

The victim, who didn't want to be identified, spoke with FOX 5's Marissa Mitchell.

She said she was driving on Piedmont Road Thursday night when two men in a white sedan rear-ended her Mercedes. Once she got out of her vehicle farther down the road, she says one of the men pulled her out of her car and drove off in it. She says the other man left the scene in the white sedan.

The woman told Mitchell the incident left her with bruises several parts of her body because she was dragged a short distance while trying to stop the carjacking.

Investigators said the woman's car was later found in the parking deck of a nearby hotel.

They're also reviewing surveillance footage and working strong leads in the case.
