Police: Suspicious device reported at Inman Park condo

Police said a suspicious package which caused a condo in the Inman Park neighborhood of Atlanta to shut down Thursday afternoon was actually novelty item.

Authorities responded to the 870 Inman Residential Condominiums located near the corner of Inman Village Parkway and North Highland Avenue around 2:45 p.m. The Atlanta Police Department’s Homeland Unit and bomb squad responded to investigate a report of a suspicious package on the roof of the condos.

The scene was declared to be safe and cleared early Thursday evening.

Traffic along Inman Village Parkway and Montag Circle was restricted while authorities investigated.
