Police: Suspect in custody after shooting in East Point

EAST POINT, Ga. - Officers have arrested a suspect after a shooting in a shopping center parking lot early Wednesday in East Point, according to authorities.

East Point Police said someone shot a woman near a bank on Camp Creek Parkway around 3 a.m.

Witnesses spoke with FOX 5's Marissa Mitchell after the incident. They said they saw a group of women argue after leaving a nearby club before the gunfire.

At this time, the motive for the shooting is unknown.

Police said the shooting isn't fatal. Witnesses told Mitchell the victim was shot in the neck.
