Police: Student at an Atlanta school hands out marijuana-laced cookies

A Centennial Place Academy student handed out six or seven marijuana cookies during lunch on Tuesday.

Officers said one of the students gave six students the cookies.

One of the students’ mother said she would take her student to the hospital to be treated. Two other students were seen by Grady EMS at the scene. Officers said another student was transported to the hospital by her guardian. The remaining students were released before being seen by medics but their parents were notified of what had happened.

It was not immediately known if any criminal charges would be filed as well as what disciplinary action the school will take against the student.
