College Park Police are searching for a serial robber who ended a Wednesday crime spree by invading a family home.

“He was the first one to point a gun to me. He said, ‘Y’all going to stay in the closet,’” said a 13-year old girl, who was forced with her family inside a closet.

The family was at home at the residence at the Hampton Place Townhomes when the man broke in through a sliding door. The family did not want to be identified or show their faces on FOX 5 News.

They said the man forced them all into an upstairs closet, with the exception of one young girl who had cerebral palsy.

Relatives said the gunman kept demanding more cash until he fled with $300.

College Park Police believe the man is responsible for another robbery the same morning at the Country Inn & Suites off Fayetteville Road. Police shared surveillance of the suspect. Police now believe the man is behind at least two other hotel robberies.

The suspect is described as a medium-skinned black male, 5 feet, 9 inches to 6 feet, 2 inches tall, with sunglasses, a white shirt and long jean shorts.

Anyone with information is asked to call College Park Police.
