Police searching for person of interest in Brookhaven homicide

BROOKHAVEN, Ga. - Brookhaven Police are investigating a homicide that happened on Buford Highway Saturday afternoon.

 

According to investigators, officers responded to multiple 9-1-1 calls of a person shot at Esquire Apartments.

 

Officers found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The officer's attempts to revive the victim were not successful, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

Police have not yet released the identification of the victim, pending notification of family members.

 

Witness statements were used to create a forensic sketch of a person of interest.

 

Investigators are attempting to identify this man and speak to him about the incident.
