Police searching for church's stolen flatbed trailer

Troup County investigators are asking Georgians for help finding a stolen flatbed trailer.

Police say that the trailer was going to be used by Pine View Baptist Church as part of their float for the local Christmas Parade.

Surveillance video caught a red tractor truck pulling into the church's parking lot shortly after midnight. The footage shows an unidentified man who is either white or Hispanic connecting the trailer to the cab.

Officials say the suspect was wearing a black hat, red shirt, and white tennis shoes.

The missing trailer is 53 feet long, silver aluminum in color and has a black trim. Its tag number is UBH705. The church had installed wood railing and benches, as well as a large lighthouse, in the middle of the trailer for the parade.

The Troup County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who may have information on the suspect or the suspect's truck to please call them at (706) 883-1616 or Crime Stoppers at (706) 812-1000.
