Police search for suspect in deli robbery
ATLANTA - Police are searching for suspects involved in a deli robbery Thursday night. The two men walked into Bennett’s Market & Deli as if they were regular customers, purchasing a drink and some ice cream, but Atlanta police said the men had an ulterior motive for being at this deli
Officers said one male suspect pointed a silver handgun at the female employee and demanded the cash out of register after purchasing his items. The other suspect walked around the counter and started taking money out of the register while the gun was still pointed at the woman, according to the police.
The employee told officers that the suspects led her to the safe after emptying the cash register. The two men exited the store after taking the money from both the safe and the register and fled towards North Waldo St.
Any information about these suspects can be submitted anonymously to Atlanta Crime Stoppers with a reward of up to $2,000.
