Police: remains found on Kennesaw Mtn. those of missing hiker
COBB COUNTY, Ga. - Authorities say they have identified remained found on Kennesaw Mountain Monday evening as those a missing Cobb County hiker.
National Park Service Rangers and Cobb County Police Department Crimes Against Person's detectives were alerted to the remains located near Stilesboro Road, well off the beaten path along one of the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park trails.
The Cobb County Medical Examiner's Office on Wednesday confirmed the remains belongs to David Blake, who was reported missing on March 9.
Several massive searches were conducted in March for Blake, an avid hiker, following his disappearance.
