A stop at Publix took a terrifying turn for a Fulton County woman over the weekend.

The customer said she went into the store off Cascade Road and went to use the restroom. Inside, she said she saw a man's feet stepping down from a neighboring toilet. Police said the man hid in one of the stalls to watch the female customers as they used the bathroom.

"I bent down and I look and I see that shoe coming down, that's when I know that that had to be a guy, get out of there quick and that's what I did... he almost got me, but he didn't," the woman said.

The woman ran out of the restroom screaming for help as the suspect ran out soon after.

The suspect ran behind several businesses, but was captured on surveillance video at the nearby Shell gas station. Police release a picture from that surveillance on Tuesday.

Police describe the suspect as being about 5’9” tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds. He was wearing a dark shirt, khaki pants, and black shoes at the time of the incident.

Police said they are investigating this as a peeping tom case.

The victim fears it could have been so much worse and she wants all women to be on the lookout when using public restrooms.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
