Police: Man sprays chemicals at employee while robbing store

FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. - A robber sprayed a chemical on an employee at a cell phone store.

It happened at the Cricket Wireless on Banks Crossing in Fayetteville.

Police said he's hit the store before and both times, he wore the same clothes.

At first glance, this surveillance video from inside a store looks normal. A man waiting to purchase a cellphone, but Fayetteville Police, who released video of the incident, said what happens next is far from normal. The man sprayed a chemical agent in the clerk’s face.

What makes this story even more disturbing is how brazen this thief is.

FOX 5 News has learned this is the second time police believe he's done this. The first incident happened in late April at the same store. He was wearing the same Brave No. 3 Dale Murphy jersey.

Police worry he's getting more and more aggressive and that’s why they’re asking for the public’s help in finding him before he makes a return visit.
