Police: man attempts armed robbery at Kennesaw McDonald's

KENNESAW, Ga. - Police in Kennesaw are investigating an attempted armed robbery inside a McDonald's. Investigators said around 1:00 a.m. Wednesday a man with a gun walked through the doors of a 24-hour McDonald's on Cobb Parkway and employees inside scattered when he demanded cash. We're told there may have been a few customers inside the fast food restaurant as well.

In all the chaos, no one noticed whether the robber was still inside, according to police. That's when the SWAT team got involved. They stormed in, but found no sign of the gunman.

Detectives are now fingerprinting the area and are looking through surveillance video. 

One employee reported having heard a gunshot, but no one was hurt. According to police, after all the drama, the robber didn't get anything.
