Police: Man arrested, marijuana plants and guns found
CLARKESVILLE, Ga. - A man was arrested after police discovered he was in possession of marijuana plants, mushrooms, rifles, a shotgun, and a handgun, according to the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office.
Nicholas Green, 35, was charged manufacturing marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a scheduled I narcotic.
Police investigated a house on Alec Mountain Road after a 911 hang up, and executed a search warrant on July 4, according to officials.
Habersham authorities say they found 25 marijuana plants just inside the back door, along with 23 half gallon mason jars full of marijuana, and 1 half gallon mason jars full of mushrooms. The street value of the illegal narcotics is $408,600, according to police.
