Police look for serial bank robber in Cobb County
COBB COUNTY, Ga. - A search is underway for a serial bank robber in Cobb County.
Cobb County Police said an armed man held up five banks in six months, including his most recent hit
Monday at the Fidelity Bank on Windy Ridge Parkway in Atlanta.
Police Spokesperson Alicia Chilton said the robber wears similar outfits while taking on the businesses.
"He has sunglasses as well as a hat. He also has the same, or at least a similar, black handbag, which
he has the teller put the money into," Chilton said.
Detectives believe the man also robbed the following banks in Cobb County: Fifth Third Bank, Regions Bank, BB&T Bank and PNC Bank.
There were no injuries during the crimes, according to authorities.
"I'm really hoping we get this guy pretty soon before something goes into the direction of a physical confrontation," Chilton stressed.
