Police: Karate instructor arrested for child molestation

Griffin police have arrested a martial arts instructor after being accused of molesting a child during a summer karate camp, according to a police report from the Griffin Police Department.

Daniel George, 50, was arrested for child molestation after a mom told police that her 7-year-old daughter told her that George touched her "private area" during a summer camp, according to the police report.

The report says the mom was riding in the car with her daughter when the 7-year-old told her about the incident.

According to the police report, George told the 7-year-old to promise that she would not tell her mother about the incident.

George posted bond on August 2, and the bond was set at $44,812.00, according to officials.
