Police investigate deadly pedestrian accident in Marietta

MARIETTA, Ga. (FOX 5 ATLANTA) - Marietta Police are investigating a deadly crash that killed a pedestrian.

It happened at around 5:30 a.m. Friday on South Marietta Parkway near Powers Ferry Road.

Police say a 61-year-old man was crossing South Marietta Parkway, but not in the crosswalk, when he was hit.

A second driver also hit the man after he fell to the ground.

He died at the hospital.

Police have not released his name.
