Police identify suspect in fatal shooting of Alabama teen
DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) - Police have identified a suspect in the fatal shooting of an Alabama teen, just days after his high school graduation.
The Dothan Eagle reports (http://bit.ly/2rY2pxv ) Dothan Police Chief Steve Parrish says they are looking for a 15-year-old male who they believe killed 19-year-old Kendarrius Dewayne Martin in a park Tuesday afternoon. Parrish says police have been in contact with the FBI, U.S. Marshal Service and Florida law enforcement agencies to find the suspect, who hasn't been named.
Parrish says the shooting resulted from an argument between multiple individuals. Police are also seeking an individual who they believe drove the suspect from the scene.
Martin graduated from Dothan High School on Saturday. Dothan High's football coach Kevin Jackson says Martin was bound for a Minnesota community college on a football scholarship.
