Police: Gainesville man stabbed CVS employee in head

Gainesville Police have arrested a man they say stabbed a CVS employee in the head with a knife during a robbery.

Police say officers were called to a robbery at a CVS on the 100 block of Jesse Jewel Parkway at around 1 a.m. on Thursday.

According to officials, 33-year-old Brandon Shane Dudley entered the store while wearing a mask and demanded money from an employee.

During the robbery, police say Dudley hit his victim in the head with a knife, which got lodged into his head, before fleeing the store.

Officers found Dudley and took him into custody. He's been transported to the Hall County Jail charged with aggravated assault and armed robbery.

Medics transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. He's listed as being in "serious condition."
