Police: Fireworks cause vehicle to catch fire

DUNWOODY, Ga. - Officers responded to a vehicle fire in Dunwoody Monday night after some fireworks were not disposed of properly.

The fire happened on Hidden Branches Drive. According to police, flames ignited after fireworks were thrown into a trash can, and then the fire spread to the car as well as a basketball goal.
Police said no one was injured.
"Please be careful when handling and disposing fireworks during this 4th of July holiday," the Dunwoody Police Department said on Facebook.
