Police: Father, daughter robbed at gunpoint near playground

ATLANTA - Atlanta Police are looking for a man accused of robbing a man and his five-year-old daughter at gunpoint near a playground in southeast Atlanta.

The crime happened Sunday afternoon on August 19 inside Benteen Park which sits directly behind Benteen Elementary School.

Investigators said the armed man took cash from the father, who pleaded for him to refrain from hurting his little girl. The family wasn't hurt, according to officials. But the crook got away.

The victim described him as a light-skinned black male with small twists in his hair, wearing all black, black and white sneakers and a white bookbag at the time. If you have any information on this case, you're asked to call Atlanta Police.
