CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Clayton County investigators believe three people used an escort service advertisement to lure men into a deadly trap. Authorities said a number of victims were robbed and the crime spree also included at least one murder linked to the trio.
Ashanti Dorsey, 18-year-old Kiera Williams, and 20-year-old Cameron Jones are all behind bars following a massive investigation spanning several jurisdictions.
"A series of murders, shootings, and robberies that occurred in Clayton County and Upson County over the past several weeks," said Tracy Graham Lawson, Clayton County District Attorney.
Police suspect there may be more victims who have yet to come forward.
"Nine different agencies have been working around the clock to solve these crimes and apprehend these individuals," said Lawson.
Williams and Jones charged in the murder of Barnesville resident Roderick Crawford. Investigators found Crawford murdered in Upson County after his family reported missing him late last month, now believed to be the latest victim in the trio’s crime spree.
Investigators said the search for Crawford ultimately led to the identification of the three suspects and tied them to a string of murders and robberies, the victim's connected through calls to an escort website.
Dorsey was already wanted for felony murder and aggravated assault in connection with a homicide in Clayton County.
The Clayton County Fugitive squad arrested Dorsey last week, describing her as a "known prostitute who robbed men after they solicited her services online."
Williams is being held in the Upson County Jail, while Jones and Dorsey are in the Clayton County Jail.
