Gwinnett County police are looking for a couple who allegedly stole a woman's wallet while dining at a restaurant.

According to police, a man and a woman were dining at the restaurant La Madeleine on the 1700 block of Mall of Georgia Boulevard in unincorporated Buford on Jan. 22.

The woman put her purse on the floor near her seat. That apparently caught the eye of a couple sitting near them.

According to witness reports, the woman in the couple was overheard saying, "She saw you. She saw you” to the man.

Police say a waitress noticed the suspects and alerted a supervisor, but the couple left by the time they went to speak with them.

After the suspects left, the female victim realized her wallet was missing, police said.

According to police, the supervisor was able to get the suspects' license plate, but it was registered to someone who did not own the vehicle and was registered as junk "several years prior."

Investigators described the suspects as a bearded man wearing a light blue shirt, tie, brown pants, and a black head cap, and a woman with long brown hair who was wearing a brown coat.

The suspects were driving a black Chevy Silverado with Pennsylvania license plate KGA 8751.
