Police: Cobb County woman forges medical receipts

UPDATE: According to court records provided by the defendant, on October 5, 2020, Cobb Superior Court Judge Stephen Schuster signed an order placing the case against Zafirah Msouda Alibey on the court’s dead docket, pending the defendant’s entry into the District Attorney’s Pretrial Diversion Program. On April 21, 2021, a judicial administrative specialist for Cobb Judge Jason Marbutt signed a Nolle Prosequi (will no longer prosecute) order due to the defendant successfully completing the Pretrial Diversion Program.

A Cobb County woman has been arrested for insurance fraud. 

According to police, Zafirah Ali-Bey, 28, of Marietta, is accused of forging three medical receipts that she gave to GEICO. Police said she was trying to fraudulently get reimbursed for more than $8,000. 

Ali-Bey was arrested on Monday, but she's since bailed out.
