The Mayor of Atlanta says public relations will take a back seat to the need to keep security ratcheted up in the wake of the urban assault terrorists made on France.

Kasim Reed activated the city's emergency operations center Sunday evening in response to a vague call to violence said to have been generated by ISIS yet never confirmed. There were police and federal agents all over downtown at the football game and a wrestling event.

Many of the officers had their high-powered rifles ready to be raised if necessary.

Reed said he will not spend 10 minutes on any critics who may says the deployment and expense required for all that force is an overreaction.

The mayor said the security alert will continue indefinitely. He said it only takes a lone wolf to respond to a vague message to put innocent lives in jeopardy.
